Collected are all new descriptions by Joseph Pfeiffer featuring rare sketches by the legendary illustrator Jack Davis, from the EC Old Witches to Frankenstein and the Universal monsters, to a self portrait of the artist at work. Jack kept a box of his favorite pencil sketches, studies for his final finished pieces. As Jack put it, "my final artwork represents the technical talents of creating the illustration, but I find the creative talents are best pictured in my pencil sketches".
