ILLUSTRATORS QUARTERLY #50 50th Anniversary

The Anniversary issue with an extra 16 pages kicks off with the fantasy and horror artwork of David Palumbo, who has painted many of Marvel’s superheroes and much more in the comics and fantasy field. Next comes Angelo Rinaldi who has done a lot of children's book covers and works digitally. He has recently done the covers for some Doctor Who paperback books featuring many of the different Doctors. Then we look at the work of British comic strip artist Mike Noble, known for his stylish work on Look-in comic strips as well the Daleks and TV 21 artwork. The seminal French science-fiction magazine Métal Hurlant is now appearing in English so here's an interview with its original co-creator Jean-Paul Dionnet about its origins and how it influenced countless other magazines including Heavy Metal. Moebius was a fellow founder. Finally,  presented in this giant issue, is a gallery of the artwork of Ron Embleton.
