More of the most readable stories of the 1950s, by one of the best writers in comics. Complete with letters pages with our editor Hughes responding, clearly an influence on Stan Lee. Fantasy, supernatural, unexplained, science fiction, time travel stories (and one Herbie appearance) drawn by Ogden Whitney, Leo Morey, Tom Hickey, Rudy Palais, Paul Reinman, Chic Stone, John Forte, Edmond Good, John Rosenberger and Max Elkan. Herbie “the fat fury” first debuted in FW #73, then in #84, #111 (collected here), #114 and #116. He finally got his own title in 1964, which ran 23 issues to 1967. He’s become a bit of a cult classic over the years.
