Despite having superpowers, being Superboy sure ain’t easy! Especially if you happen to be growing up in Smallville, Kansas, where subterranean cities, super brats, and robot doubles seem to be a dime a dozen And then there is teen-aged Lana Lang, always trying to prove Clark Kent is really Superboy!  I  find these stories a lot of fun. They happen in a world without other superheroes, just small-town Smallville in the 1930s. These are much like the Smallville television series but there's no Luthorcorp or Luthor, just relatively simple adventures and challenges in a far simpler time!  Great fun. - Bud This classic volume reprints adventures such as "Superboy Meets Superlad", "The Super Brat of Smallville", "The Rip Van Winkle of Smallville," "The Runaway Rocket," "The Journey of the Second Superboy," "Superboy's Robot Twin", as well as Krypto’s first-ever comics appearance in "The Super-Dog from Krypton." "The Man Who Knew Superboy's Identity" and "The Wizard City," where Superboy meets Superman--well, kind of. This was a fun era for these adventures.
