Last copies of Dave’s wonderful 4th sketchbook, with several pages of life studies -- full nudes -- of gorgeous young models. Also work from Star Wars (he helped on the 1980 newspaper strip), his 1977 Christmas card, Elvira, The Shadow & Doc Savage, Michael , fanzine covers, Madman, Aurora, Superman, Syn, Julie, and much more.He is most famous for creating The Rocketeer comic book and film character, and for his pin-up style “glamour art” illustrations, especially of model Bettie Page. He was the first to win Comic-Con International’s Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award in 1982, and received both an Inkpot Award and the Kirby Award for Best Graphic Album in 1986. A great collection of character studies and finished drawings in pencil and pen & ink.
