The creator of Beetle Bailey takes a look at the rich history of the newspaper strip and the talented people that do them. Walker gives a real behind the scenes humorous description of the comic strip business, the syndicate business, the funny people who draw the comics, the fans, and the organizations. He explains the use of visual tricks, wallpaper gags, swiping and comiccana dialect. There's tons of black and white illustrations and includes Walker's humorous, informative monologue which also includes a chapter on his own life called Who Asked You. Mori Walker,  was an American comic strip writer, best known for creating the newspaper comic strips Beetle Bailey in 1950 and Hi and Lois in 1954. Addison Morton Walker who also  calls himself Mori Walker, signed Addison to some of his strips. Out of Print. Condition: Fine Minus. Medium bumped bottom corner with yellowing pages. Small tears at the top and spine edges.
